On School Road

Schedule for the 2011-2012 School Year

ON SCHOOL ROAD is Parks and Recreation’s answer to the community need for affordable, creative, exciting early childhood programming. We have created an environment where children are given the necessary tools to build self-awareness and self-esteem; a place for children to deepen their respect for others and the environment; and encouraged to think independently and creatively. Our classes foster imagination, exploration, ingenuity, and compassion to help children become active problem solvers and creative members of our community. We believe children need a place to feel empowered, comfortable and safe to be ready to explore, investigate and experiment with their surroundings. Our goal is to help foster creative, independent, critical thinkers! We offer a drop-off 2’s program; full and part-time 3 year old and 4/5 year old classes as well as an extended day Lunch Bunch for preschoolers and Kindergarteners.

After School Art

Young artists are invited to paint, draw, collage, and sculpt using a variety of media in this after school art program. Each week the class will be guided on projects using various techniques to work with fine art materials. Each student will explore and create masterpieces to keep! Students may get messy, so feel free to bring extra clothes that might not be favorites. Art supplies are included.

Note: (Bus Note Required) Students may take the bus from Miller-Driscoll or Cider Mill to Comstock. If desired, please pack a snack for your child. Questions? Please email Sharon@onschoolroad.com.
